Sales & Marketing Director

Summary

Tripar, a recognized leader in metal stamping and fabrication for over 75 years based in Montreal, is seeking an experienced Sales and Marketing Director. Best known for its components in architectural and commercial lighting, Tripar also serves various industries with custom sheet metal services. With a dynamic environment and both forecasted and on-demand production, the company offers a wide range of capabilities including CNC punch presses, lasers, press brakes, over 100 presses, 1000 dies, and assembly operations.

Under the authority of the CAO the Sales and Marketing Director is responsible for business development activities by researching and developing marketing opportunities and plans.

Ensures consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning, deployment and management of sales and marketing teams. Identifies objectives, strategies and action plans to improve short- and long-term sales and earnings that enlign with the company goals and KPIs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accomplishes marketing and sales objectives by planning, evaluating, developing, and implementing, sales action plans, productivity, quality and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying trends; determining trade show, advertising & promotion opportunities, process improvements, and implementing change;
  • Contributes and communicates marketing and sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; scheduling expenditures; analyzing sales & sales variances; initiating corrective actions;
  • Determines annual sales forecasts and objectives, sales quotas; projecting expected sales volume for existing and new customers; analyzing trends and results; establishing profitable pricing strategies; recommending selling prices; monitoring costs, competition, supply, and demand;
  • Identifies product and marketing opportunities by using customer feedback and customer trends; defining market, competitor’s share, and competitor’s and own strengths and weaknesses; forecasting projected business; establishing targeted customer and market share;
  • Supports sales teams partnerships with key accounts by providing data analysis (or analytical tools for sales staff) exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities;
  • Supports and challenges sales team by providing data related to sales, opportunities, strategies and objectives;
  • Drives direction of marketing activities such as digital strategy, email campaigns, lead generation, communications such as New Product Bulletins, Newsletters, web site;
  • Collaborates in establishing and managing effective programs to review, compensate, coach, appraise and train sales team;
  • Any other related tasks;

Qualifications

  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in sales/marketing roles, including at least 5 in a management position
  • Strong analytical and data gathering skills
  • Capable of reacting quickly and efficiently
  • Strong ability in financial and strategic planning and execution
  • Excellent skills in analyzing customer trends and developing new markets
  • Diligence and effectiveness in working with and developing sales team
  • Bilingual- Masters English verbal and written
  • Strong knowledge of marketing strategies
  • Profound aptitudes in IT internal systems
  • Strong background in B2B
  • Experience in a manufacturing/fabrication company an added benefit
